MalereiPleinAir - A painting exhibition in the open air in Bad Tölz
Opening: Saturday, 19 July 2025, 4 pm

Eleven international artists will be showing the paintings they have created especially for the project not in a museum, but on billboards in a public place: MalereiPleinAir transforms the car park of the former Alpamare in Bad Tölz into an open-air gallery that is open all year round. The paintings created for this purpose are photographed, printed as posters and affixed to the eleven existing billboards - freely accessible around the clock.The painting posters will be contrasted by a parallel exhibition of original paintings by the artists in the neighbouring Wandelhalle - for one month with free admission.

The exhibition explores the possibilities of painting and its mediation in our media world, occupies an unusual, abandoned space.

KAYA, Sophie Kuhn, Aileen Murphy, Gunter Reski, Elizabeth Ravn, Sophie Schmidt.

Outdoor exhibition: 19 July 2025 to summer 2026, accessible at all times.
Wandelhalle: 20 July - 28 August 2025, Thu-Sun 4-8 pm, or by appointment.
